James 'Scott' Riciutti Gone at 48

The Marlborough resident and popular Worcester area musician was killed in a late-night car crash last week.

James Scott Ricciuti, 48, of Marlborough, died Thursday, April 5, 2012 from injuries .

Scott was born in Marlborough where he lived for most of his life.

He was an extremely talented and well known musician, songwriter and performer who played at countless venues and with countless musicians. He worked for the family business, Murhall Inc., in Worcester for many years, where much of his work is still part of the Worcester area and surrounding towns.

He was loved by all who knew him. He was a charismatic, compassionate, loyal, loving, beautiful person who had a great big generous heart and a laugh that could be heard a mile away. 

He is survived by his longtime love Maro Eremyan, her father, Akop Eremyan, his father, James Ricciuti and his stepmother Irene , his brother, Chris Ricciuti and his wife Patty, his sister, Lisa Carman and her husband Bill, as well as his favorite and special admirers, nephews, Jack, Joe, Elijah, and Gaelan and his niece, Georgia. He was also the son of the late Carole Sue (Nicholls) Ricciuti, who died in January, 2012.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, April 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 13 at 11 a.m. at the Elks Lodge, 91 Park St., Hudson, and will be followed by a reception.
