Community Corner

9am Storytime & more at Maynard Farmers' Market

On Saturday, August 24, kids can enjoy storytime with children's librarian Mark Malcolm starting at 9am. Market-favorite Sugarcoma is
at the music tent with their retro-tinged, indie pop-rock and will be
joined by Elizabeth Lorrey who plays edgy, intense originals that are a
cross between Suzanne Vega & The Cure. The Market features weekly musical performances and the complete music schedule and artist bios are available at http://maynardmarketmusic.weebly.com/schedule.html   Other activities include a book sale by the Friends of the Maynard Public library with kid's and adult's books. At the Community Tables, Maynard
Community Chest volunteers will be accepting entries forms for the Sept
7 Apple Pie Contest (the entry deadline is August 31) and the Maynard
Community Gardeners will be answering gardening questions. Artisans are
The Roosevelt St Ladies with their jewelry and Brenda
LeSage of Sewing Doodles with baby items. The Market runs Saturdays,
9 a.m. – 1pm, rain or shine, in the Mill Pond parking lot at Clock Tower Place on Main Street (rte. 62) in Maynard. For the
