I worked 30 years for Dept. of Correction, essential personnel, trust me you hade it made. I spent 5 straight days at Walpole and many overnights with only what I brought from home.

There are no pensions being paid to current workers you have to be retired. Also should my pension be slashed after working for 32 yrs in as a Correction Officer? Who would do the job without a decent pension. And don't tell me there are plenty of people who would take these jobs because not many last the first year. Just stop spending on useless things like wind turbines.

Isn't that the same as when instead of building a new high school they renovated it. It was only going to cost the price of a pizza a week. Ha!!
