When it comes to Chinese takeout in Milford, this is always my place of choice. The food is excellent and serving sizes are impressive considering the reasonable price.

I'm updating my review to reflect that my one real complaint about the restaurant has been resolved. The booths were changed over to far more comfortable tables.

The new owners continue to amaze me with their incredible food. The pizza has yet improved again. The breakfast is still the best in town.

After two trips there for breakfast, I'd say the place was average. The wait staff was attentive, polite and always seemed to be refilling my coffee. The subpar flavored and undercooked homefries were balanced out with the generous serving of bacon. The omelet was burnt on the second visit but fine on the first.

Its better than McDonalds but not nearly as good as other area breakfast places. From the looks of their lunch menu, it might be worth a trip later in the day.

A bad overall experience that included showing a salesman how to jumpstart a car with a dead battery.

Granted it was a Saturday morning for both visits, but the wait for us to get a seat probably will keep us from coming back. The first visit found us sitting at the counter which inevitably resulted in constant accidental elbows to the ribs from people passing by.

The breakfast food was good. Nothing spectacular in my opinion and the portions could have been bigger. Prices were fair. Despite the overwhelming crowd, the server made sure our coffee cups were always topped off. I have to admit the coffee was very good.

Not a bad place by any means but I've found better options in the area.

I've decided to update my review on the restaurant since its under new management.

Pizza: Still not quite to the level of gourmet. Its pretty good though. Improvement over before. I'm not sure if the recipe has been changed but the new ownership seems more generous in the toppings. They still have the two large cheese pizza deal for $10 which still seems to be the best deal in town.

Seafood: I've never been a fan of the whole belly clams but found them to be pretty good. The fries were soggy but that could have been just from being wrapped up during my drive home. The fish portions could have been bigger. The scallops were cooked perfectly and probably was my favorite part of the meal.

Breakfast: I would highly recomend the He-Man Special. Enough food (3 eggs, 2 meats, home fries, toast, coffee, pancakes/french toast) to leave me satisfied which is rare for a breakfast place in this area. It just would be nice to have them open earlier in the morning for guys like me who work.

Other: The creepy doll in the rocking chair seems to have disappeared. The large flat screen is hooked up and turned on finally. Although it was an infomercial. The unforgiving seat could use a few more inches between me and the table. The staff was very warm and welcoming while still giving me the privacy to eat that I prefer. The restaurant was clean and inviting.

Seriously, this place has improved alot since it changed over earlier this month.

  • Of the listing Gasco Auto Service

    ****

I was impressed with their professional and reasonably priced service. Granted it was just a simple brake job. Could have done without being stuck watching the nature channel in the waiting room though.

  • Of the listing Countryside Discount Liquors

    ****

Countryside doesn't have the biggest selection in town but they generally have what I need. Employees are very nice and prices are reasonable.

  • Of the listing Wendy's

    ****

As far as fastfood breakfast goes, Wendy's is at the top in my opinion despite fewer options on the menu compared to other restaurants. The hashbrowns and breakfast burritos are the best of the fastfood chains. The chicken on a honey butter biscuit is a welcome change from the usual morning options.

  • Of the listing Charlie's Express Pizza

    ***

This used to be one of my favorite pizza places. The parking situation is awful when the school next door let out so I found other venues. Now that its summer again, twice now I decided to go back. The people working there are great as before. I'm not sure what they switched on their pizza but its no where near as good as it was awhile back. It had an unexplainable saltiness to either the sauce or cheese. I'm hoping their sandwiches are as good as before next time.
