Just came out. Milford is mentioned mostly in the Water sections. Might be of interest to someone.

Hi Mary~
Will you be able to run the story I emailed to you on 2/27/2012 on Milford Schools Community Service Article? Also will anyone be available to cover Karaoke For a Cure?
Thanks Leslie

HI Mary,
I haven't heard back from the email I sent you about the data and the Milford daily news will be publishing the data tomorrow so you probably are not interested. I think I will post the later as a comment. Maureen Maloney

One gift shop I didn't see mentioned is the Gina's back room at Oliva's Market. Gina has a great eye for finding unusual gifts and I've never left there without finding at least one thing! Definitely worth a look!

What time does the Milford Veterans Day Parade begin, looking for confirmation ...don't see it on the Events Calendar, the Milford Town Website Calendar or the Milford Daily New Events calendar...am I looking in the wrong place?

Have you checked out Watkins' book? You need to look into the history behind Japanese invasions into Asia and the accompanying Japanese racist ideology/religion. You might also want to find out about the war crimes that were suffered by the invaded regions and consider the historical context behind Watkins' book. A nice story can be written up about a Nazi German family escaping Jews freed from concentration camps, or a racist white family fleeing a slave rebellion in the US pre-Civil War era. This woman's book is being naively taught because middle school in MA and the surrounding media are oblivious to East Asian history and context of Japan's relationship to Korea and China.

I wonder what people in Milford think is the correct age for children to be expected to walk home from school safely by themselves.
In Milford students in grades 1-4 are designated walkers if they live less than 1 mile from school. There are families that are considered walkers that have children in both Woodland (grades 3-4) and Brookside (grades K-2) which are 1 mile apart and have the same drop off and pick up schedules. This creates a tricky conflict for those who live directly in between these schools.
