Reply"Many people think the bird on those signs is a flamingo. It's a grullo, a crane, as in the restaurant's name. And for anybody like my husband who thought the name had something to do with grilling, oops again. The founder came from the town of El Grullo, in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. He is El Grullense."

ReplyVanilla Moon Bakery-- 872 Laurel St, San Carlos
Jimmy's Cafe-- 1094 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont
Plantation Coffee Roasting-- 668 Laurel St, San CarlosNone of them are open past 9 p.m. You could try Pilgrim Kitchen in Belmont (311 El Camino Real). It's open until 11 p.m. and serves donuts and pastries.

We love Jack's Prime too. Godfather's in Belmont also makes a great burger, but Jack's is much better for kids. The shakes are great too!
