A Utah native, Alex will be a senior at Brown University in the fall. She worked as an editor for her high school literary magazine and joined the staff of her college paper, The Brown Daily Herald in her sophomore year.

As a staff writer, Alex covered news and features. Alex also wrote a story covering the bi-annual student opinion poll that went virial on the Washington Post Social Reader on facebook ("Students fall short of sexpectations" November 28, 2011). Alex spent the last semester as a senior staff writer covering faculty and administration news for The Herald and will be a news editor in the fall.

Alex enjoys classical and country music, debating the viability of the oxford comma, and baking.

Alex is the editorial intern for the MetroWest area of Boston and covers news in Framingham, Marlborough and Natick.
