Nearby towns reported up to 5.6 inches of snow in the storm, according to the National Weather Service.
There are no exact figures on snow totals for Marlborough on the National Weather Service website, but nearby towns got anywhere from 2.5 to over 5 inches. The snow came down over night and then shifted to rain, creating a slushy mess throughout much of the region. Even in Worcester, the snow totals were less than forecast, according to the National Weather Service website, with amounts of about 5 to 6 inches.

Marlborough has yet again been hit with a snowstorm.
1. If you checked your Patch Facts column this morning you know that school was called off, but you may not have known that most sporting activities have been now canceled as well. For those teams that do not show cancellations, check directly with the athletic director's office for more information. 2. City government and the Marlborough Public Library are both open for business, though the library did not open until 11 a.m. 3. It appears Marlborough has received just over six inches of snow thus far. Here are the latest totals from the National Weather Service. 4. More snow is hitting Marlborough with an expected six inches by the end of the day.
It's been a tough morning to drive for a lot of people commuting to work. On the tail of last week's major snowstorm, another six inches and possibly some freezing rain is expected making for some very precarious driving conditions. Fortunately Marlborough Public Schools already had the day off due to a professional development day, which was canceled due to the weather. Click here to see the National Weather Service warning for this storm that is in effect until 7 p.m. Photographer Sue Wambolt went out on the roads earlier today to show you what you'll be dealing with should you have to drive. Take a look at the attached slideshow.
