William "Bill" Short is gone at the age of 63.

Marlborough Patch received word Thursday that a longtime Marlborough resident and businessman had died.  William R. Short, 63, the owner of the William R. Short Funeral Home on West Main Street died Wednesday, April 4, 2012.  His funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 10, in the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 9 in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home.  Employment Options had announced recently that they would honor Short at its Annual Awards Dinner that was to take place Thursday, April 5.
