Long-time City Employee Carole Sue Ricciuti Gone at 74

A long-time city employee and the mother of a popular Marlborough musician, Ricciuti died Saturday at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston.

Carole Sue (Nicholls) Ricciuti, 74, of Marlborough, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.  Born on Jan. 12, 1937, in Middlebourne, WV, Sue found enjoyment in all she did in life. She had wonderful, caring ,friendships, a fabulous sense of humor, regardless of the situation, was known for her beautiful garden, active in her community and set a superior example of a loving, devoted, mother and grandmother. As an employee for the City of Marlborough since 1979, she showed a strong commitment to her job. She began in the public school system moving to the Marlborough Police Department in 1990, where she served as Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police until the time of her death.  She is survived by …

Julie Shepherd Gone at 46

A longtime volunteer in the Marlborough school system has died.

Julie J. Shepherd, 46, of Marlborough, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital following an illness of several months. She was the wife of Brian A. Shepherd. Born July 21,1965 in Wyandotte, MI, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Wilma Wigent. Julie grew up in Taylor, MI and received her bachelor's degree from NC Wesleyan College. She married Brian Shepherd April 21, 1990 Dearborn, MI. Julie's many passions in life included scrapbooking, tennis, travel, family and friends. She was also a frequent volunteer at the Kane School and the Whitcomb Middle School.  In addition to her husband, Julie is survived by two sons, Benjamin and Maxwell.
