Multiple Violations Found at Fish Restaurant

Nearly 20 violations were found at Fish Restaurant & Wine Bar recently.

A health inspection of Fish Restaurant yielded 19 health violations during a food borne illness investigation. “This combination of violations could lead to transmission of pathogens from food handlers to members of the public,” wrote Marlborough Board of Health Inspector Deirdre O’Connor on the inspection paperwork. The inspection of the restaurant was prompted by an illness investigation following an incident on February 17, according to Board of Health records. Fish was inspected on February 20 as a part of the investigation undertaken by the Marlborough Board of Health. Sorry I did not see your reply earlier. The follow up is helpful but not a solution. I'd say you have a duty to the public and the restaurant owner to present complete information in one story. I know George (have not talked to him since this story broke) and I know a number of other restaurant owners. I'm told George runs a clean shop. What is his inspection history over ten years? Hannaford Praised During Health Inspection

Hannaford Supermarket received a positive health inspection.

A recent health inspection of Hannaford Supermarket prompted responses of "good job" and "very good job." We have the details of the health inspection listed below. Hannaford 193 Boston Post Road W. Owner: Corporate Violations: 2 Notes: The overall comments on the inspection were “very good job, excellent response during inspection.” A violation came from sanitizer being low at one station as well as a low volume and temperature at the handwashing sink in the deli. The cooler and deli cases were are the proper temperature with “Good job!” in the notes. Health Inspections: Embassy Suites, Five Guys and Chipotle

On area establishment had nine violations in a recent inspection.

Embassy Suites Violations: 9 Notes: The inspection was requested by the hotel chain. The sanitizer levels were incorrect, dirty items were next to clean equipment, personal beverages were in the food area and black mold or deposits were on drink lines and the wall above the ice. The line ice, which comes into direct contact with drink lines, was not segregated from the drink ice at the bar. Many of the problems were corrected that day during the visit.  Five Guys Violations: 0 Notes: The inspector noted correct techniques on handwashing and a good mix of sanitizer.
