The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a red flag fire warning for Marlborough and most of Middlesex County. The warning is in effect through 8 p.m., Friday. "Above normal temperatures, very low relative humidity and winds gusting between 25 and 30 miles per hour and little to no rain over the last two weeks will result in critical fire weather conditions this afternoon," said a release. Residents are advised to be very careful when disposing of ignited materials such as cigarettes, as any spark could get quickly out of control.
