The Marlborough School District has responded to over 80 requests from parents for bus route changes.
A rough beginning has lead to many hours responding to parent input as bus routes continue to be tweaked in the district. "We experienced a rocky road," said Marlborough High School Assistant Principal Dan Riley at the school committee meeting last week. At the time, Riley reported he had responded to 80 of roughly 100 requests for stop modifications. Three more buses have been added to the half day kindergarten route, with four more buses in the afternoon to help alleviate pressure on the elementary school routes. "Most importantly, the community is being heard and we are responding to their concerns and they have a direct line," said Riley who explained that a great amount of his time has gone into working on the bus routes. Information from the Marlborough Public Schools. Find posted below the afternoon and updated morning bus routes for the 2012-2013 school year. Bus routes for the morning had previously been posted by the district. Students should be at their stops 10 minutes prior to their scheduled pick-up times for the first few weeks of school. Questions and/or concerns about the routes can be forwarded to the appropriate building principal(s). Adjustments will be on an ongoing basis as warranted, and revised lists will be posted as they become available.

I don't mind that the routes have changed or that my child might have to walk to get to her stop, However they should make sure the routes that the child might have to walk to get to her stop are safe and should check them, In this case they clearly did not =(   more ›
