Credit Union Bank Robber was Unarmed
The robber of the St. Mary's Credit Union was unarmed. He is currently in police custody.
A note was all it took to spark a robbery and set off a flurry of events Friday morning at the St. Mary's Credit Union on Northboro Road East where an unarmed robber attempted to rob the bank, according to a release from the Marlborough Police Department. "It was learned that no weapon had been shown by the suspect and a written note had been passed demanding money," said Police Chief Mark Leonard in the release. The hold-up alarm went off at approximately 9:04 a.m., prompting police to respond to the bank. On arrival, they were able to get a description of the suspect, his vehicle and the direction he had driven in.
