Gov. Deval Patrick stopped in Marlborough the other day, and the Vin Bin will hosting a great, free event this weekend.

1. Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick visited Marlborough Tuesday afternoon to highlight the expansion of the clean energy company SolarCity. The company plans to add 25 jobs at the Marlborough facility in the coming months. 2. 5 Things You Need to Know Today: Oct. 26

1. The next test date for the entrance test to the Assabet Valley Practical Nursing program is on Wednesday, Nov. 9, during the evening, from 6 until approximately 9 p.m. Registration must take place at least 48 hours prior to the date, and can be done online. Applicants should visit the website, click on LPN Program and then go to Quick links-Entrance Exam to register and sign up for an exam. There is a Study Guide available at the same site. Bring confirmation of test registration the evening of the exam. 2. The state of Massachusetts is wrapping up a 10 day comment period as they determine the redistricting of Massachusetts (mandated by law every 10 years and after the Census). Check out the latest district lines here, and see if they …

1. Today should be overcast and rainy for the most part with a chance of thunderstorms and a high of 70 degrees, says the National Weather Service.  2. If anyone is interested in taking a step back into time this weekend, they should head over to the Wayside Inn on Saturday and take part in the Colonial Faire & Muster of Fyfe and Drums.
