We have suggestions for the perfect gift of wine or beer for your sweetheart.
Valentine's Day is about sharing time with the one you love and displaying that love through gifts. When it comes to tokens of appreciation, wine and beer have been long standing favorites. We asked Rick Lombardi, owner of the Vin Bin, to weigh in with his picks of wine and beer for you to get your sweetheart. Matilda Barbera $12.99 Known affectionately as the "Cat" wine because of the painting on the label of a cat. The Barbera is lush and rich, with great gobs of juice, spice and berry flavors. It goes well with food or it can be served as a cocktail. Fidelity Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend $16.99 The blend is ripe, aromatic and has a long finish, and the name on the label lends itself to Valentine's Day. Tullum Rosso from Italy $…

There's even an online dating site exclusively for farmers.
About 12 years ago, before online dating had really taken off, Jennifer Luke, MSW LCSW, decided she would give it a whirl. She found love, and marriage, eventually, after going on about 13 dates. "He was very sweet and we chatted for a few weeks before we met," said Luke, who is from Shrewsbury. "While we were chatting online, we realized that we actually grew up in the same town. Rob was very sweet and picked me up for our first date. He had flowers waiting for me and was quite the gentleman, opening car doors for me. We hit it off right away and I knew he was the one. We were engaged on our two-year anniversary and married a year and a half later. We have now been married almost 10 years and have two children and I couldn't be happier…

Marlborough families have many grocery shopping choices and many opportunities to save money. Within the past year a new supermarket chain has opened a store in our area and our local big box stores have now started offering fresh groceries. The drug stores also sell grocery items. With all this abundance comes the need to shop very carefully and understand prices. On Monday I took a ride to the larger stores near my home to find out what the prices are this week for the breakfast staples that my family enjoys. The stores I visited were Hannaford, Target and Price Chopper in Marlborough and Walmart in Hudson. Below are my findings. I realize that not everyone would choose to buy these items, especially if you have a food allergy or a …
