Fire Rips through a Marlborough Home

An early morning house fire had fire fighters battling the flames and the elements.

Smoke was flowing over Lincoln Street early Thursday morning as a house fire ripped through a nearby home, forcing fire fighters to battle the flames and the elements. "The wind makes is an issue," said Deputy Fire Chief Ron Ayotte, who explained the wind and freezing rain soaked fire fighters. The two alarm fire was first noticed by a police cruiser in the area. When fire crews arrived, there were heavy fire conditions from the second floor and burning through the roof of the two family home at 10 LaCouture Ct., according to a release from the fire department. "Everybody got out safely," said Ayotte who stated one woman was transported to the Marlborough Hospital for smoke inhalation as a precaution. Let Patch save you time. Get great …
