Northborough Man Struck on 290 Expected to Survive
A man hit on Monday morning by a tractor trailer on I-290 is expected to survive.
A man struck by a tractor trailer Monday morning on I-290 in Northborough, near the Marlborough line, is expected to survive, according to Massachusetts State Police. At 9:05 a.m., troopers from the state police barracks in Holden responded to several 911 calls for a pedestrian who was struck by a tractor trailer on Route 290 westbound in Northborough. A 42-year-old man from Northborough had pulled his 2000 Honda Civic over into the breakdown lane. The male, for reasons yet to be determined, walked out into the travel lane and was subsequently struck by a tractor trailer unit, said police.
