Tailgaters Grille Set to Open Aug. 15

After much delay throughout the summer, the chain will open a new Marlborough location next week.

The new Marlborough location of Tailgaters Grille will open Aug. 15, said Amy Hurley, manager of the Acton location of the chain restaurant. Representatives from the Sports Bar chain told Patch in May that the delays had been caused by issues surrounding a liquor license. At a location on Boston Post Road, the new Tailgaters has been advertising the opening for months, with many possible patrons questioning the reality of a grand opening. Visitors to the facebook page for the Acton location have been commenting each week about the new Marlborough restaurant, speculating whether or not it will indeed begin business, and asking restaurant propriators for more information.

E., and has had "coming soon" signs promoting an opening for months.  A representative of Tailgaters told Marlborough Patch earlier this year that the process to get the liquor license was taking longer than expected. That information was confirmed Thursday. "We are waiting for the liquor license to be in hand and we should have that by the end of May," said Kim Reardon, …
