Happy Easter, Happy Spring, or whatever Happy you choose. Though this winter was milder than most, the beauty of the Tulips and Paperwhites (as well as some of the more exotic succulents in the greenhouses) is no less welcome! Tower Hill is a favorite haunt of mine, a real hidden gem that's just up the road. In the middle of winter, an hour simply soaking in the warmth and jungle air is like a …   more ›
Veterans and city leaders took to the streets Friday in honor of the annual event honoring those who serve in the armed services.
From school children to aged war veterans, Marlborough's community was out in force on Friday morning to honor the dedication and the sacrifice of those men and women in our armed services. The parade stopped at the several momuments honoring those who have served in various conflicts over the years. Enjoy the slideshow! Take a walk around Marlborough and take a look at the finer aspects of our fine city.
For many who live in Marlborough the beauty of the city is lost in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Take a moment to stop and look and you may be surprised just how lovely the city really is. With heavy hearts Americans across the country honor the men, women and children who lost their lives, the brave Americans gave their lives and heroes who risked their lives on this day ten years ago.
Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children. - President George W. Bush, November 11, 2001

Thanks, Paul. We did sit next to a very nice woman - ask your wife if she was surrounded by a gaggle of little kids (5 of those would be ours). We are always happy to hear that photography can bring some peace and joy to anyone's life, and we wish you the best. Your photos are wonderful! The Hillside School with its working farm is neatly tucked away down on Robin Hill Road.
The farm at Hillside School is as much a part of the curriculum as athletics and serves as a "classroom" for the students. For all, the farm immersion program is mandatory. Take a look and see just a sample of the many animals who live at the Hillside School farm. These Canadian Geese made a pit stop in Marlborough this week.
Corn fields are not just for corn — who knew? It seems that the cornfields on Broadmeadow Road and the adjacent fields are home to a gaggle of Canadian Geese. Enjoy the slideshow! Just about everyone has seen this canvas on their way to Hudson. Have you painted this rock?
In this edition of Viewfinder, I decided to tackle "The Rock." Locals have used this piece of earth as an artistic canvas for decades. From memorials to first date requests, "The Rock" has had thousands of incarnations. This spot is actually on property owned by Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School. If you have an idea for a future edition of Viewfinder, let me know in the comments.
