Sex Offender Headbutts Police Officer

A sex offender allegedly injured two officers while resisting arrest Saturday.

A man wanted for not registering as a sex offender multiple times reportedly broke one officer's bones by headbutting him in the face during an outburst as he was being arrested. “As he was being escorted out of the building, he lunged forward and smashed himself against a glass door," said Det. Scott DeCiero of the Community Services Bureau of the Marlborough Police Department. "He also headbutted one of the officers on his way outside." John J. Miller, 31, of 104 Charles Street in Dennis was being arrested on five warrant charges which included assault and battery, posession of a class E drug, resisting arrest and a subsequent failure to register as a sex offender.
