His grandfather, father, he, his son and his grandson, were involved in the construction business, he having owned and operated his own companies, including Union Concrete, for many years. Northborough — Sally Catron Barnes, 83, formerly of Needham, Massachusetts, died on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. She was the wife of Wade E. Barnes, from their marriage in 1958 until his death in 2005. During their marriage, they resided and raised a family in Needham, Massachusetts. After 46 years in Needham, she moved to Northborough and later to Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Marlborough — Arlene "Skippy" L. Joe honorably served our country in the United States Navy during World War II. Jeanne was a long-time dedicated employee of the Town of Shrewsbury. She started her career with the Town in the Treasurer's Department and later worked for the Light Department for many years, retiring in 1995. Northborough — Margaret T. "Peggy" (Baggett) Szostak of Northborough, formerly of Methuen, died Feb. 7, 2013 at home with her family at her bedside. Peggy was the first female custodian at Methuen High School and worked there for almost 25 years before retiring in 2000. Everyone at MHS fondly called her Ma. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester, and worked as a bookkeeper for several area companies during her working years. Northborough — Eliot F. Parkhurst, Sr., 92, died on January 22, 2013 at Beaumont Nursing Center in Northborough. Parkhurst was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. From 1943 through 1945, he served as a commissioned officer, first commanding PT 566, a motor torpedo boat in MTB Ron 29 assigned to the Mediterranean, and then in MTB Ron 12 assigned to the Southwest Pacific and based out of the Philippines. Squadron 12 was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for action in New Guinea from October 1943 to March 1944. Westborough — Gary E. Tenczar, 69, of Westborough, died on Monday, January 21, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Navy serving in WWII in the European, African and Middle Eastern campaigns. Mr. Floyd went on to work as a foreman for the former Data General for many years and was a long time member of the Siloam Masonic Lodge in Westboro. Shrewsbury — Mary V.
