Six days a weeks Marlborough Patch will highlight an interesting story from the Marlborough Daily Enterprise published on that date 100 years ago.
July 11, 1911: Body of Infant Found in Pigpen: Mutilated Body Discovered in Rice St. Piggery by Young Buckley This Morning The mutilated body of an infant boy was found this Tuesday morning about 8 o'clock in the pig pen under the barn in the rear of the residence of Thomas Hurley, 23 Rice St. The body was discovered by Edward, eight years old son of policeman J.J. Buckley. When found the left arm was gone, the head badly mutilated and the abdomen was horribly cut. The mutilation of the body was evidently done by hogs.
