3 Local Holiday Gifts for Mom

Monday, March 5: 1:16 a.m.: During a motor vehicle stop in the vicinity of the St. Mary's Condominiums, 28 Broad St., police arrested Ramon Perez, 27, of 435 Old Colony Ave., Apt. 380, South Boston, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended/revoked license, failure to wear a seat belt and a wrong way violation.  7:36 a.m.: Services were rendered when officers investigated a suspicious motor vehicle in the vicinity of a residence, 34 Birchwood Dr.  9:24 a.m.: An act of harassment was reported at Countryside Village, 450 Boston Post Rd. Main Street Fire Displaces Seniors, Changes Polling Center

An early morning fire sent four senior citizens to the hospital, and has necessitated that city officials move a polling center in today's presidential primary.

On one of the coldest morning of the winter thus far, a portion of Marlborough's senior community had to be evacuated from the Liberty Hill apartments, 240 Main St., due to a fire. At approximately 2:30 a.m., the Marlborough Fire Department responded to a multiple alarm fire at the facility that is adjacent to the Marlborough Senior Center on upper Main Street. According to a release from the fire department, multiple engines responded to the scene and  discover a large amount of smoke on the third floor of the facility. Personnel and mutual aid were called from several surrounding towns to help evacuate the facility and attend to the residents. 1. Today is Super Tuesday and that means it is time for Massachusetts residents to vote! Most of the races or primaries are for Republican candidates, but a seat on the State Democratic Committee will be decided today. Tell us in the comments who you are voting for and why. A night spot and eatery, this popular venue offers are large menu and lots of entertainment.

The Lazy Dog is something of a one-stop shop for anyone looking for some time out on the town. They advertise fresh ingredients and meals made from scratch, while offering sounds from the local music scene and other entertainment in the evenings. Located on the eastern end Main Street in downtown Marlborough, the business is open 7 days a week. and offers plenty of seating, both in the bar and a separate seating area. Friday, March 2:  1:34 a.m.: Suspicious activity was reported near the intersection of Lincoln and Cross streets, and police subsequently arrested Marie A. Tellier, 26, of 655 Boston Post Rd., Apt. 1112, Sudbury on an outstanding warrant. 10:03 a.m.: There was a motor vehicle crash near Dunkin Donuts, 269 East Main St.  1:47 p.m.: Marlborough police assisted the Marlborough Fire Department after responding to a fire alarm at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School. The school was evacuated, but it the alarm was determined to be a malfunction of the system.  8:25 p.m.: There was a motor vehicle crash with property damage in the vicinity of the Royal Crest Apartments, 12 Royal Crest Dr.  11:13 p.m.: Suspicious activity was investigated…

OUI Driver with Child Released on Bail

Two defendants are getting ready for jury selection pertaining to a robbery this past fall, and a drunk driver is free on bail.

The Court Report is a weekly column highlighting some of the cases in Marlborough District Court that are of interest to the public. If you see an arrest in the police log and would like to see a follow-up on the disposition of the case, tell us in the comments and look for it the following week. For those following the case of Michael Nugent and Biana Manifold, suspects in a case from this past fall, Marlborough District Court records indicate that the two will face jury selection Thursday, March 15. This past Saturday morning, Luis Fernando Maldonado, 34, of 72 Rice St., Apt. B, was pulled over after running a red light on Lincoln Street.
