3 Local Holiday Gifts for Mom

Buying for mom can be hard and you are running out of time, but here are some local gift ideas for her this holiday season.

1. The Boston Post Road Art Center has an array of interesting and unique gifts, along with a strong selection art supplies and frames. See some examples here.  2. Get mom a gift certificate to a local hair salon and spa. Drumais, for example, in the downtown area offers a variety of services. Check out our photo gallery here.  3. A lot of moms could probably use some time to themselves and a chance to relax. What better way to relax than with a nice glass of wine. There are several fine package stores in Marlborough with a great wine selection including Marlborough Wine and Spirits and the Vin Bin on Main Street.  Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date on the latest Marlborough news, or simply hit the "like" button at the …

POLL: What are the Most Popular Gifts this Holiday Season?

What are the kids (and big kids) asking for from Santa this year?

In the early '80s, moms were duking it out in the aisles, smashing one another with carts to get the Cabbage Patch dolls as they were unloaded. In recent years fights have broken out over Xboxes, Elmo dolls and other hot items of the season in recent years. We needn't get that violent over securing our kids that "special toy," but we'd love to know: what are they asking for this year? Please do take our poll. While the selections are broadly-based, we hope you'll add your commentary below to tell us about specific items your kids are asking for from Santa, and you. Many of these items can be found around Marlborough, especially inside the many retail shops at the Solomon Pond Mall.  Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date on …

My Grandaughter, who is seven, likes those American Girl Dolls and Accesories. We did get some cheaper doll outfits on e-bay. For dolls made in China, they sure are expensive.   more ›
