Marlborough Resident Runs for a Cure
John Tanner is running the Boston Marathon to raise money to find a cure for Batten Disease.
Name: John Tanner Age: 46 How Many Times Has He Run the Boston Marathon? Seven times in Boston and also Chicago, New York City and Newport, RI. Internationally, Tanner has run in Berlin, Germany, Iceland, Dublin, Ireland and Toronto, Canada. Tanner also does several 5K and 10K races throughout the year. "I'm not sure exactly how many marathons I've done, but it's definitely 20 plus," said Tanner. Why Does He Run? "As a kid, I would watch the Boston Marathon in Ashland," Tanner explained, "I told myself that someday I want to run in it."
