5 Things to Know Today

A list of things going on today that you should know about.

For residents 60 and older, the Senior Center on Main Street is hosting cribbage games beginning at 9 a.m.  This is the first of many events at the Center running throughout the day. There is a meeting of the local Cable Trust in the Mayor’s conference room at City Hall beginning at 3:30 p.m. In addition to it being the annual celebration of “I’m Not Going to Take it Anymore Day,” it is also the anniversary of the very first presidential election in American history. George Washington won the office on this day in 1789.
