Motor Vehicle Stop Yields Drug Bust

A Marlborough woman was arrested late Sunday after police discovered large amounts of cash and drugs in her vehicle.

A Marlborough woman faced charges of dealing drugs in Marlborough District Court Monday morning, after being pulled over Sunday evening in a routine traffic stop. At 10:46 p.m. in the vicinity of Bond and Lincoln streets,  police observed Eva Lee Hall, 21, of 11 Ames Pl. Apt. B, speeding and operating her car in an erratic fashion.  "The officer spoke with Miss Hall, and based on the vehicle stop and statements she made, there was a search in which the drugs were found," said Detective Martha Shea of the Marlborough Police Department. The search revealed quantities of Ketamine, mushrooms, marijuana, and a variety of paraphernalia including a scale, as well as $3,000 in cash. Worcester County Sobriety Checks this Weekend

The Massachusetts State Police announced recently that they will be setting up sobriety checkpoints this weekend in Worcester county.

The Massachusetts State Police announced recently that they will be conducting more sobriety checkpoints on public roadways in Worcester county this coming weekend. Marlborough is partially located within Worcester County, and is therefore subject the possible checks.  "The purpose is to further educate the motoring public and strengthen the public’s awareness to the need of detecting and removing those motorists who operate under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs from our roadways," said Colonel Marian J. McGovern, Superintendent of the Massachusetts State Police, in a press release. Middlesex DA Releases Two Marlborough Indictments

District Attorney Gerard T. Leone Jr. announced on Thursday that two men will face a Grand Jury in Marlborough.

The Middlesex District Attorney, Gerard T. Leone Jr., released the Grand Jury indictments for Middlesex County yesterday naming two defendants out of Marlborough. Suquie Shorrow, 28, of Worcester, was charged in the indictment with distribution of cocaine (2 counts), subsequent offense, conspiracy to violation drug laws (2 counts), operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense, and failure to stop for police. The Assistant District Attorney prosecuting the case is Kerry Collins. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, April 28, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's office.  Andrew Negron, 46, of Marlborough, was charged with masked armed robbery and resisting arrest.  According to a story by the …
