Updated: Marlborough Police arrested Michael K. Nugent Friday afternoon, according to Milford Detective Jay Ball. Nugent spent the weekend in Marlborough police custody and will soon answer charges in Milford.
Milford Police have received arrest warrants from Milford District Court for two men from Marlborough who were living in a North Bow Street apartment in Milford. The house was raided on Dec. 15 as part of an ongoing drugs, weapons and counterfeit money investigation. Milford Detective Jay Ball said the Milford Police Department has two warrants: one for Leandro Barbosa, 21, of 47 North Bow St., Apt. 2, Milford, and the other for Michael Nugent, 18, of the same address, who was arrested Friday in the vicinity of South Bolton Street without incident. An ongoing police investigation results in a couple arrested for heroin possession, and a Marlborough man is arrested in Sudbury.
An early afternoon traffic stop near Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School on Fitchburg Street on Tuesday, yielded two arrests in an ongoing Marlborough Police Department investigation. Robert F. Barberio, 45, of 21 Elm Hill Ave. Apt. 2 in Leominster, and Darlene M. Taber, 48, of the same address, were arrested and charged with possession and intent to distribute a class A substance (heroin), violating school proximity laws, and conspiracy. Officers searched the vehicle and persons involved, finding the drug in the car and on one of the suspects, said Detective Martha Shea.
