1. We know some of you are not fans of Columbus or the holiday in his name. Now it's personal. Columbus has reached from beyond the grave to delay your trash collection by a day due to Monday's holiday. 2. The Solomon Pond Mall will be hosting their Girl's Night Out tonight starting at 5 p.m. This is an opportunity for some extra pampering care of your local mall. 3. For most of us, life goes on normally on Columbus Day, but there will be a number of closings this holiday. The following will be closed: The following will be open: The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority will be running their buses on a normal schedule. Remember, the Marlborough School District has a teacher workshop day on Tuesday so students get an additional day off.

1. Planning for next week? Remember that while Marlborough schools get Columbus Day off, there is a teacher workshop day the next day so students will have Tuesday off as well. 2. The School Committee will review three proposals from companies that specialize in helping districts to hire superintendents next week. 1. The benefit for Donna and Bobby Peltak hit the mark on Sunday with roughly 800 people attending throughout the day. There were 125 baskets either donated or made by the wonderful friend's and community. According to organizers things really took off once the sun decided to shine. 2. Did you see flashing lights on Lincoln Street last night? Maybe you were among the cars who was delayed by as much as thirty seconds.
