Look for a story on their efforts later this week.  3. The Marlborough Public Library's adult book club will meet today at 6:30 p.m. They will be discussing "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett.  4. For elder residents looking to participate in some health and fitness activities today, the calendar at the Marlborough Senior Center is chalk-full of them.  5. Here is a list of things going on in and around Marlborough today.

1. With all the recent rain, remember to protect yourselves from mosquitoes when you're outdoors. The presence of West Nile Virus was discovered in Acton recently. 1. Today may be the first sign of fall we see this year with a high of 67 degrees. 1. Well, as of last evening the National Weather Service was predicting up to 2 inches of snow, but as of early this morning accumulation is not expected to go over an inch. The rain that is expected later in the day is sure to wash away any accumulation.  2. With the Boston Red Sox season beginning next week, and the slew of summer concerts starting up as well, the Better Business Bureau is advising consumers to be wary of ticket scams.
