Marlborough School Bands Performing at Solomon Pond Mall

Bands from Marlborough's public schools will be performing at the Solomon Pond Mall this week.

Marlborough students will be performing for the general public this week at the Solomon Pond Mall. “Any time students have a chance to perform in front of an audience it’s a winning situation," said Johnathan Rosenthal, music coordinator for Marlborough Public Schools. “We love taking what we do and bringing it to the community and sharing that art form." It is not just a matter of sharing, but also of learning for the students, he said. The amount of pieces they must prepare is in itself a learning experience for the students, beyond the actual performance, said Rosenthal. “The effort it takes to prepare such a large selection of music is what is challenging but it is that challenge that makes it great," he said explaining that the effort…

The Assabet Valley Regional Techical High School Band played a concert for students, friends and family Thursday evening, May 19.

Led by retiring music teacher John Russo, The Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School band performed for students, friends and family on Thursday evening, May 24, to a resoundingly positive response.  Russo praised his students for their continued hard work, and played alongside them on his trumpet.
