Hurd, 33, of 12 Lake Boone Dr., Hudson, is arrested during a breaking and entering attempt at 55 Red Spring Rd. He is charged with breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony, defacing property and larceny from a building. Police Foil Robbery on Red Spring Road

The Marlborough Police Department arrested a Hudson man as he tried to make a getaway.

The Marlborough Police Department caught one would be thief red-handed Monday afternoon as he tried to make his escape.  Zachary J. Hurd, 33, of 12 Lake Boone Dr., Hudson, was arrested when police blocked SUV from leaving the dirt expanse of Red Spring Road.  This was after a neighbor observed Hurd carrying items from 55 Red Spring Rd. to his car, then called the police.  "Officers stopped a car traveling at a high rate of speed, then observed a large Sony television in the back seat," said Detective Scott DeCiero. "We contacted the owner of the house and they confirmed that the individual did not have permission to be in the house." Home Invasion Suspect Arrested After Leaving Police a Snowy Trail

A North Bigelow Street home invasion was solved quickly Saturday evening after the suspect led police to her doorstep.

A local woman has been arrested after breaking into a North Bigelow Street home Saturday evening, then leaving a trail a trail of snowy footprints all the way to her own front door.  Marlborough Police responded to a 911 call around 9 p.m. when an elderly resident woke to find an intruder in her bedroom.  "An elderly female reported that someone had broken in to her home and was still inside when she called," said Det. Scott DeCiero. "The reporter observed someone at the foot of her bed and then watched the person flee after yelling out."  According to police records, the intruder threw the reporter's purse down on the bed and fled the home on foot. Three Marlborough Teens Arrested for Robbing Vehicles

Three Marlborough residents were arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Marlborough Police Department arrested three local teenagers early Saturday after residents of The Meadows at Marlborough observed them robbing parked cars. Sometime after 3 a.m., police discovered the suspects in the area of 139 Broadmeadow Rd.  Jovany Casillas, 17, of 220 Lincoln St., Apt. 2, was charged with breaking and entering into a vehicle/boat in the nighttime for a felony. Jessenia Maldonado, 19, of 220 Lincoln St., Apt. 2, was also charged with breaking and entering into a vehicle/boat in the nighttime for a felony, and receiving stolen property valued less than $250.  Manny Junior Casillas, 19, of 220 Lincoln St., Apt. 2:18 a.m.: During a motor vehicle stop in the area of Granger Blvd. and Liberty St., Marlborough police officers arrested Shana C.
