Father and Son Fight Ends in Assault Charges

A fight between a father and son lead to assault charges for both Tuesday.

Police say a dispute over money ended in a father and son each being charged with assault and battery Tuesday night. The incident started when Jared Provencher,  asked his father Michael for money, according to Detective Scott DeCiero of the Community Services Bureau of the Marlborough Police Department. Jared then pushed his father who then retaliated by hitting his son with a metal mop, according to police. The Marlborough Police were called to 44 Briarwood Lane Apt. 4 for the disturbance and arrested the two men. Michael, 59, was arrested on two charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Man Assaults Pregnant Woman with Gun

A Marlborough man has been accused of pushing a gun into the stomach of a pregnant woman.

Police have charged Angel Castro with assaulting a pregnant woman after he allegedly pushed a handgun into her stomach. "The defendent had grabbed her by the neck and pushed a handgun into her stomach. Stating I will [expletive deleted]ing blow you away [expletive deleted]," wrote Officer David Garceau in his police report. According to those documents, the event occured after Castro, 34, of 16 Royal Crest Dr. Apt. 4 asked the victim for money to buy drugs. Castro is believed to be the father of the child, according to court documents. The victim had previously filed a police report about being abused by Castro. Man Charged with Assault to Murder

A local man was charged with assaulting a disabled person in an attempt to murder them.

A man has been held without bail after being charged with assault to murder after allegedly strangling and suffocating a disabled person. Police have charged Joseph White, 47, of 6 Witherbee Ter. Apt. 6 with assaulting a disabled person following an incident at 3:22 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29. According to the police report by Marlborough Police Officer Paul McCarthy, White hit, choked, smothered and placed his full weight on the victim and stated "I want you to die." The victim was bleeding from their mouth and nose when police arrived. They were transported to Marlborough Hospital. "[The victim] stated that White had beat [them] up and smashed [their] cell phone while [they] attempted to call the police," wrote McCarthy whose report …

Four Charged in "Vicious Attack"

Police have charged four men after a fourth man was beaten and lifeflighted to the hospital.

Four men have been charged in what police describe as a "vicious attack" that resulted in the victim being lifeflighted with severe internal injuries. "The vicious attack was directed to the torso area, causing serious injuries to (the victim)," said Marlborough Police Officer Keith Moro in his report. Police responded to a report of a man with a head injury at 10:35 p.m. on Friday, October 5 at Homestead Village on 19 Northboro Road East. When they arrived, they found one male victim who had to be lifeflighted to UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, according to court records. Police Officers Assaulted over Weekend

Marlborough police officers were assaulted early Saturday morning when two people allegedly resisted arrest.

One officers was struck in the chest and another on the arm when two people allegedly resisted arrest early Saturday morning. Police were called to 178 Boston Post Road East for a reported disturbance at 1:17 a.m. Police found Michael Kieft, 36, of 79 Londonderry Road in Grafton and Tracy Davis, 42, of 25 Vinal Street in Hudson allegedly trying to break into an apartment building, according to Detective Scott DeCiero of the Marlborough Police Community Services Bureau. “They were trying to gain access into an apartment building and they caused a disturbance," he said.
