Attempted Rape In Marlborough

A man flagged by immigration has been charged with attempted rape.

Police have charged a Marlborough man wanted by United States immigration with attempted rape following an incident shortly after 9 p.m. Friday night. “Part of the sexual comments were the defendant wanted to commit sexual acts," said Det. Scott DeCiero of the Community Services Bureau of the Marlborough Police Department of the actions of a Marlborough man towards a woman. "At one point, she was forced onto the couch at which point the defendant forcefully grabbed her (private parts)." The man, identified as Henry Joel Hernandez-Reanos, 20, of 37 Hosmer Street Apt. 23, returned back to his apartment and began first verbally addressing a woman in the apartment in a sexual manner and then touching her sexually, said DeCiero. Alleged Drug Dealer Arrested While Speeding

Police have charged a man with distributing marijuana after reportedly finding marijuana and cocaine in his car after a traffic stop.

A traffic stop for speeding turned into an arrest for drug possession and dealing in Marlborough Thursday. When police pulled over Nelson A. Rodriguez, 32, of 38 Cotting Ave. Apt. 3 on Boston Post Road East shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday, they arrested him on charges of a susequent offense of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended licensen and speeding. Only after he was being booked and his car was searched did drug charges follow. "His vehicle was inventoried at which point they discovered two glass mason jars inside the vehicle," said Det. Scott DeCiero of the Community Services Bureau of the Marlborough Police Department. "One of the jars had approximately one ounce of marijuana." Another mason jar in the car was found to have six …

Man Arrested as "Habitual Traffic Offender"

A Marlborough man was recently arrested in Westborough as a habitual traffic offender.

A Marlborough man appeared in the Westborough police log recently when he was arrested on driving charges as an alleged habitual traffic offender. Westborough police arrested Angel Lopez Enriquez, 29, of 93 Prospect St., Apt. 1, Marlborough and charged him with operating a motor vehicle with a license revoked as a habitual traffic offender, and speeding, according to the Westborough Police Log. The arrested was made at 6:05 p.m. Monday night.

Student Accused of Indecent Assault; Touching Female Student on Bus

A Marlborough student has been accused of indecent assault and battery after police were called about a sex offense.

Police have charged a 17 year-old student with assault and battery following an incident on a school bus. “The victim and the suspect are both students," said Det. Scott DeCiero of the Community Services Bureau of the Marlborough Police Department. On March 26, Manuel A. Teo Jr., 17, of 39 Ringold Street allegedly innapropriately touched a female student on a bus, according to police. As the female student walked by on the bus, Teo reportedly came up behind her and touched her between her legs, according to Det. DeCiero. Both the victim and Teo are students at the Phoenix Program at the Hildreth School, according to police. A drug deal allegedly turned into an armed robbery over the weekend.

A drug deal allegedly turned into an armed robbery over the weekend, with the victim and would-be drug seller reporting the crime to police. When a man came to police over the weekend to report a Saturday armed robbery, it did not take long for the victim to confirm their suspicions that the robbery was the result of a drug deal gone bad, according to court records. The victim came to the police station to report he had been robbed. He then said, according to a police report by Patrolman Paul Connors, that he had obtained marijuana for a man who was later identified as Sean Kyle Washington, 37, of 3 Bexley Drive in Hudson. Man Assaults Marlborough Hospital Staff

A man was arrested after assaulting hospital staff.

Police were called to the Marlborough Hospital last week after an unruly patient threatened staffers and caused damage. “He became belligerent and verbally abusive to staff members," said Detective Scott DeCiero of the Community Services Bureau of the Marlborough Police Department. “He raised his fist towards a staff member and threatened to punch her in the face." At 9:40 a.m. police arrested Shawn Patrick Higgins, 44, of 31 High Street in Hudson. In addition to threatening that staff member, he tore down a privacy curtain and threatened other staff members. Higgins was charged with vandalizing property and two counts of assault.

Former Environmental Affairs Secretary Charged with Baiting Deer

The former State Secretary of Environmental affairs has been charged with baiting deer while hunting in Vermont.

Robert Durand, the former State Secretary of Environmental affairs, is saying he did not bait deer while hunting in Vemont, according to a report from The Boston Globe. “It wasn’t my stand. It wasn’t my game camera. It wasn’t my apples,” Durand told the Globe in reference to apples that were at the base of a tree stand. “When I got up there, I realized there were apples below it. I should have gotten down when I saw the apples, but instead I stayed up there for a few minutes, and the wardens arrived shortly thereafter. But it wasn’t my stand. They know that.” Durand is a former state representative and senator for Marlborough. Murderer Remains Behind Bars and Officer Assaulted

Police have been busy this week, with an officer being assaulted while arresting an alleged thief and a convicted murderer remaining behind bars.

The biggest crime news in Marlborough this week comes from a 2004 case. The conviction of a Marlborough man who had been found guilty of murder was upheld in court earlier this week. The story involves a party gone wrong and a single gun shot. A police officer was assaulted by an alleged thief who had been seen taking items from a parked car at an apartment complex. The officer was uninjuered in the incident. Another officer was reportedly injured shortly after in an unrelated incident.
