For a corner liquor store, MWS offers a surprisingly wide assortment of regions, vieyards and vintages, and with many terrific discounts. No shortage of brews either -- whether you want it cold or by the carton.
I like a dry Cab or a bitter IPA beer. But what I really enjoy is finding new labels that are off the beaten path. This week, I am tryng a supposedly mid-level red marketed as a bag-in-box. That's something I would have never tried if it weren't for two very knowledgeable Sherpas who work here. And guess what? I don't really believe that this little box holds 3L, but the wine within is suprisingly complex.
