Marlborough City Council to Consider Meals Tax

Here are five interesting or important things coming up this week.

1. The Marlborough City Council will meet at 8 p.m. Monday. The agenda includes discussion of a proposal to add a .75 percent meals tax to restaurant bills, and create an account for the funds to support recreational purposes in the city.

2. The Marlborough Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. The agenda is posted here.

3. More snow is in the forecast for Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Only a few inches is expected, however.

4. The city will consider two requests to remove trees, in hearings at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

5. River's Edge Arts Alliance, which produces plays and performances for Marlborough and Hudson, is taking registrations in Hudson for after-school programs. They include introduction to photography and 'You've Got Talent' for grades 1 through 5.
