The United Way of Tri-County is seeking nominations for several volunteer awards.

Editor's Note: the following is a press release from United Way of Tri-County.

Do you know someone that dedicates their time and talent to making our world a better place? For the third year in a row, our local United Way is accepting nominations for the 2014 Volunteer of the Year Award honoring local do-gooders for their commitment to volunteerism and passion for creating positive change in our community.

For the first time this year, a second award will be presented, the 2014 Youth Volunteer of the Year, to an area youth attending a local high school between the ages 12 and 18, who exemplifies the spirit and commitment of improving the quality of life for others in the community.
