Safe Summer Fun Day Saturday at Marlborough Hospital

Summer is almost here! Get your child a free bike helmet, get a great deal on a night out at the movies, and enjoy an afternoon of all-you-can-eat ice cream in Boston.

1) 14th Annual Marlborough Hospital Safe Summer Fun Day.  Saturday June 9, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the front lawn at , 157 Union St. You and your family can enjoy this fun and free event. Get your child fitted for a free bicycle helmet, available while supplies last. Every child should wear a helmet while biking, skateboarding, or riding a scooter. There will be lots of booths with entertainment, demonstrations, giveaways, and information, all emphasizing good health to help your family have a safe summer vacation.

2)  Strand Theater Summer Pass. The summer pass is now on sale for $25. See as many movies as you like in the months of June, July and August 2012! The Historic Strand Theater in Clinton is a classic movie theater that offers recent movies in a “Cinema Pub” atmosphere. Enjoy a low-cost admission and a nice variety of food and beverages while watching the movie. For more information, visit the Strand Theater during normal box office hours or call 978-365-5551. 

3) The 30th annual Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl continues through 8 p.m. today at City Hall Plaza, Boston.  This all-you-can-eat ice cream extravaganza is a Boston tradition. Ticket prices are as follows: Adult (Ages 10 and up): $10, Children (Ages 3 to 9): $5.  Kids under 3: Free.  The best value for the ice cream fan is the Scooper Pass for $20, each allowing you entrance three times!
