Cooling Centers for Marlborough

Pools and cooling centers in Marlborough aimed to help citizens.

With the heat wave expected to continue into the weekend, the city has designated cooling centers and extended the hours for pools.
“I encourage our residents to exercise caution and use their best judgment during these hot days,” said Mayor Arthur Vigeant. “The city will continue to look for ways we can to help families of all ages stay cool this summer.”

The following information was released by the city:

The city has designated the Senior Center at 250 Main Street and Marlborough Hospital Marlborough Hospital as “Cooling Centers” where citizens can go to escape the heat. 
The Senior Center will only be available during its hours, Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, Marlborough Hospital will be available as a “cooling center” all week long. 
Additionally, the wading pools at Ward Park - Orchard Street and Farrell Field - Sawin Street have been extended to 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. for July 18 and 19.
