Sound Off On the Bruins' Stanley Cup Title

Behind a 37-save performance from goalie Tim Thomas, the Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup for the first time since 1972 with a 4-0 shutout of the Vancouver Canucks.

Thomas won the Conn Smythe trophy as the playoff MVP, Mark Recchi retired after winning his third Cup and four decades of pain were purged for Bruins fans.

So how do you feel? Did this invoke memories of Orr flying through the air after scoring the winning goal against the St. Louis Blues in Game 4 of the 1970 finals? Or what about "Chief" Johnny Bucyk and the '72 B's taking down the New York Rangers on their own ice at Madison Square Garden.

Did you lose interest in the B's during the lean years the mid-90s and early '00s or did you stick it out through the mediocrity, hoping your faith would be rewarded. If so, was it worth the wait?

And what about the young fans? Combined with the Patriots' three Super Bowl titles, the Red Sox' two World Series wins and the Celtics' NBA crown, New England sports fans have witnessed seven championships in just over nine years, a run unlike any other in major sports history. How does it feel to be experiencing this  sports nirvana?
