October 2, 2013 meeting: Basic Rights Workshop

Special Needs Students’ Basic Rights Workshop on October 2.  Marlborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council (MSEPAC) is sponsoring a workshop that helps parents, guardians and advocates of children with special needs understand their basic rights with regard to education in the public school system.  The workshop leader is trained by the Federation for Children with Special Needs.  There will be a question and answer session following the presentation.  It will be held in the Whitcomb School Library (25 Union Ave, back entrance) starting at 7pm.

Future meeting topics include: Effective Communication in your IEP meetings, ADHD and your child, Assistive Technologies, and an introduction to the team of Special Education administrators.

Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Whitcomb School library and the third Wednesday at 9:15am in the Marlborough Public library.   All meetings are open to the public at no cost.
