Worcester Hockey Team, Mascot Visit Marlborough School with Health Initiative

The Walking School Bus initiative came to Marlborough Wednesday morning, as did several members of the Worcester Sharks and their mascot.

The "Walking School Bus" program began at the Wednesday with special visitors and members of the FINZ from the Worcester Sharks. For the Walking School Bus, students, along with parents and some teachers, met at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot at the Ninety-Nine Restaurant on Boston Post Road West, and walk to the school together on Foley Road.

"We are very excited to be joined by the FINZ," said media coordinator for the Richer School PTO, Mary Grgurevich. "The FINZ Fit Kidz is the flagship community program of the Worcester Sharks promoting fitness and healthy choices among kids. This assembly based program brings together the Sharks players and St. Vincent Hospital staff to visit schools throughout central Mass to promote healthy living."
