Editor's Note: The following information was submitted by the Marlborough Public School District.

Marlborough High School English teacher Jose Reyes and science, technology and engineering teacher Kathleen Richov were recently two of just 15 advanced placement (AP) teachers throughout the state to be named “Teachers in Excellence” by Mass Insight Education and Partners in Excellence.

Teachers in Excellence are recognized for their exemplary contribution to student success through their involvement in and support of the Mass Math + Science Initiative’s (MMSI) work to increase high school AP course participation. MHS has been a four-year participant in Mass Insight Education’s Mass Math + Science Initiative (MMSI), the state’s largest academic high school math and science program aimed at underserved students. MMSI is expanding access to rigorous AP coursework and closing achievement gaps in more than 50 high schools statewide. The program includes teacher training, content coaching and additional learning time for students to produce results.
