Editor's Note: The following information was provided by the Marlborough School District.

Marlborough High School is pleased to announce three MHS students have been selected to participate in the 2012-13 All-State Music Concert.

Congratulations to Alessandra Russo (alto, chorus), Nicholas Dell-Isola (tenor, chorus) and Christopher Syers (trombone, band). These students will perform with 500 of the most talented student musicians from across the state.  They represent excellence in achievement and, therefore, are known as Symphony Hall Scholars.  These outstanding musicians will take center stage at Boston Symphony Hall on March 2, 2013.

These students achieve the status of Symphony Hall Scholar by going through two very rigorous auditions, one at the district level where more than 4,000 students are represented, and then if recommended they move to the All -State audition where more than 1,000 students compete for the honor of performing at Symphony Hall.

All rehearsals will take place at the Seaport Hotel in Boston on Thursday and Friday February 28 and March 1.
