Expect School Bus Delays Due to Fallen Tree

Afternoon, evening activities at Marlborough High School have also been cancelled for the day due to a power outage.

Marlborough Public Schools are alerting parents about the possibility of bus delays due to a fallen tree on Stevens Street, according to an alert from Community Liaison Beth Wagner of the Marlborough Public Schools.

High wind gusts from around the region have caused a number of power outages today including in Marlborough where the tree fell on power lines, knocking out power to part of the city.

"As a result, parents are asked to anticipate school bus delays from the resulting traffic snarls and detours," she noted.

The outage cut out power to the high school so all afternoon and evening activities have been cancelled for the day, according to the alert.

At post time, National Grid is reporting about 444 customers without power in the city.
