Intel-OARS Contest Presentations and Awards evening

Intel-OARS Environmental Innovators Contest challenged and inspired local high school students to develop creative ideas on how to improve the environment in their community. Their projects focused on water issues in the Concord River Watershed (containing the Assabet, Sudbury, and Concord Rivers).

Come hear presentations of 6 Marlborough High teams, cheer them on, and help congratulate the award recipients.  Senator James Eldridge will speak briefly about how, as a high school student, he became involved with his local river - the Assabet, and how he continues to be an advocate for the environment in his work today.

This event takes place at the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge Visitors Center.  It is open to all who are interested in learning more about what can be done to make a difference in today's even changing environment.
