“We’re pleased to have Assabet Valley on board with both an articulation agreement and a dual enrollment agreement with us,” said Ridlon.

The articulation agreement assures that the curriculum is aligned with the college and that the students may receive college credit. The Dual Enrollment means that the students have chosen to pay for the course and will receive both high school and college credits at the same time.

“Assabet will be teaching two different courses for us, aligning the curriculum so that students at Assabet will be getting the same instruction as those on our campus," said Ridlon. "For only $40 per course, students will be getting two college credits for each course. The credits are transferrable, at the discretion of the receiving institution, to other colleges and universities. The grade they earn from Assabet Valley will be the grade on their college transcript.”

Additionally, any senior who physically visits the Central Maine campus for a tour will qualify for $500 off tuition for each of his/her first two semesters in the 2012-2013 school year. Students in the Precision Machine program will also qualify for the Apple Program, which allows for reduced tuition.
