AMSA Ranked in Top 10 for Student SAT Scores

Marlborough's Advanced Math and Science Academy students had some of the highest SAT scores in the state.

The College Board has released its annual survey of average SAT scores for schools. Boston.com has a slideshow with the top 15 schools. There are a lot of schools you'd expect at the top of the list in Massachusetts, along with a few surprises.

Topping the list? The Advanced Math and Science Academy, a charter school in Marlborough. The academy had a mean score of 1820, which is a little less than 1400 on the old SAT scoring system that you remember from high school. A total of 70 students took the test.

Other top-performing schools include Lexington, Newton South and Wellesley. Check out the full slideshow at boston.com.
