AMSA Qualifies for High School Quiz Show, Season 4
The Advanced Math and Science Academy Public Charter School was one of 16 teams to qualify.
Advanced Math and Science Academy Public Charter School has advanced to compete on season four of High School Quiz Show, WGBH’s academic quiz show hosted by Billy Costa.
Nearby Wachusett Regional High School in Holden has also advanvced.
Season four premieres Sunday, Feb. 10 at 6:30 p.m. on WGBH 2.

The show’s production team announced the 16 schools on High School Quiz Show’s Facebook page. Teams qualified by earning top scores on “Super Sunday,” an event at which registered school teams each took an identical 100-question oral quiz at WGBH Studios in Brighton.
The 16 high school academic teams that will appear on season four of High School Quiz Show are (in alphabetical order): Acton-Boxborough Regional, Advanced Math and Science Academy Public Charter School, Brookline High, Chelmsford High, Framingham High, Hingham High, Hopkinton High, Lexington High, Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High, Needham High, North Quincy High, Rockport High, Sharon High, Somerville High, Wachusett Regional High and Wellesley High.

The 2013 tournament bracket, featuring the season four qualifying matchups and corresponding television broadcast dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
High School Quiz Show, recipient of a 2011 New England Emmy Award and a 2012 National Educational Telecommunications Association Award in recognition of the local series’ Community Engagement, is endorsed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
The Princeton Review judges the televised competition and reviews the questions.
